This short appealed to me more visually than it did story wise. Not to say it was terrible, but there was some weird stuff that happened. By the end the hedgehog seemed a little burned out and done with life.
Visually it was really cool. The fog effect was sooooooo cool I loved the way things faded in and out of it. What makes it more incredible is when you see how Yuriy Norshteyn animates them. I was extremely impressed by how they were animated. It seems like it would be easier to draw everything out instead. I noticed that it seemed pretty similar to how The Adventures of Prince Achmed was animated.
The Pied Piper of Hamelin
The visual side of this short was really cool. The wood and the sets were awesome. The dead rats.... mmm... not so much. Really by main issue with the story was that it took them forever to get to the part were the Pied Piper actually comes in. Then there was the random girl who came in and then got raped and died. After that chaos ensued and I thought that was cool. Especially when the people started turning into rats and committing suicide.
